David Hoyt

General Manager

Dave is originally from Upstate New York and well into his second career as a leader and manager in the golf industry. He has been with Indigo Sports, a part of the Troon Family of Brands, for over six years and has worked almost exclusively at Troon-operated golf facilities. Before coming to Colonial Heritage, he was the General Manager at Lakewood County Club of Naples (FL) and Briardale Greens Golf Course in Euclid, OH. He started with the company as a Business Development Analyst at the Troon Corporate Office in Reston, VA.

Prior to entering the golf business Dave served for over 27 years as a Navy Supply Corps Officer, the “Business Managers of the Navy,” serving with distinction onboard three ships as well as at major supply and logistics support facilities ashore. He has extensive experience in the key hospitality-related areas of Customer Service, Stock Control, Financial and Inventory Management, Food Service, Supply Chain Management and Material Receipt, Storage and Distribution. His international experience includes tours in Japan, Iceland, Turkey, Kuwait, and Afghanistan and he is one of the few Supply Corps Officers to have earned “Jump Wings” and been designated as a Basic Parachutist.

Dave is a graduate of the University at Albany, State University of New York. He earned his second bachelor’s degree in PGA Golf Management (PGM) at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL and is an Associate Member of the PGA of America. During his PGM program he worked as an Assistant Golf Professional and Golf Sales Associate at private, resort and semi-private golf clubs throughout Southwest Florida, and a Golf Operations Intern at the South Florida Section of the PGA of America. He also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma.
