Learn to go from the parking lot to the Practice Facility and everything in between. Specific targeted teaching will be on: Etiquette, Putting, Chipping, Pitching, and Bunker Play. In addition to the classes, organized practice sessions are included with a member of the Professional Staff. After completion of the New Tees, participants are ready to participate in; Project Leisure 9.
Project Leisure 9
Discover golf from the final putt to the first tee shot; at a friendly pace. Each student is different, and learns at a different pace that others. Sessions provide golfers the environment to learn to play golf in weekly classes with a member of the Professional Staff, followed up by group practice sessions with their peers for 9-holes.
Junior Golf Program Overview
The Junior Golf Program at Colonial Heritage Golf Club is one of the most important programs we have. Junior golfers are the future of the game! The Junior Golf Program is centered on engagement and encouragement, while learning the fundamentals of golf through games, drills and hands-on instruction from the Professional Staff at Colonial Heritage.
The Pineapple Club (Juniors of all ages)
The goal of this program is to encourage and incentivize all junior golfers to actively learn and participate in golf activities through the year. Participating at their own pace, junior golfers will get encouragement and guidance toward a more passionate pursuit of golf learning through a fun, self-driven rewards and incentive plan. The Pineapple Club is open and inclusive for all juniors, at no cost. Points will be awarded for practicing, participating in clinics, playing golf and competing in tournaments. Once a Junior Golfer reaches a certain point level (much like a bank account), they can cash in their points for prizes such as free golf balls, free range balls, play 9-holes for free, bring a junior guest out for free, play 9 holes with a Pro or a free lesson, etc. There will also be a bulletin board located inside the Golf Shop where each age group will have specific news and schedules, as well as weekly updates on point totals. The points will expire at the end of the Golf Season (April through October).
After School Clinics (ages 5 & up)
The After-School Special will be held for ten consecutive weeks (starting April 4th) on Wednesday evenings with five different age groups; Little Leaguers (4:00-4:45), 3-holers (4:00-4:45), 5-holers (5:00-6:45), 7-holers and 9-holers (6:00-7:45). Junior Golfers will receive age appropriate instruction and enjoy games that will develop the skills needed for golf. Towards the end of the series, juniors will take their skills learned and apply them on the course, achieving on-course experience. For more information and registration, please click here.
Summer Camps (ages 5 & up)
The Summer Camps at Colonial Heritage is a great way to engage junior golfers with a week of age appropriate instruction and games that will develop the skills needed for golf. At the end of the week, juniors will take their skills learned and apply them on the course, achieving on-course experience. Our camp dates are as follows: July 9-12, July 23-26, and August 13-16. Each camp is from 9am until 12pm, and the cost per child is $150.
