"I played Colonial Heritage GC for the first time today, and found it to be one of the best golfing experiences I've ever had. It started with a very reasonably-priced booking on GolfNow. When I arrived, the man in the pro shop was genuinely excited to hear it was my first time and gave me a warm welcome. After informing me that the starter had left for the day, he walked me out and gave me a thorough overview of the course. It was a little gesture that went a long way. The course itself was in as immaculate condition as my "starter" claimed. Though the greens were a bit sandy from aerification, they nevertheless rolled smoothly and still pretty quickly. Tee boxes, fairway, rough, fringe, bunkers, cart path, and even practice facilities were in top-notch shape. With nice electric carts, smooth concrete cart paths, and thick flag sticks, this course really exudes quality. As for the layout itself, it certainly has a more dynamic character than most courses in the area, making the most of what little elevation change the Peninsula offers. There are some holes with houses in view and some out in the woods. A few holes have a lot of distance between them with some classy wooden bridges that give the course even more upscale feel. There are more than a few forced carries in front of greens and fairways, so keep your eyes on the target! The biggest challenge for me was the extra-fine, fluffy beach sand in the bunkers which looks great but increases the likelihood of plugged balls and in general gives most players an unfamiliar consistency to swing through. Sometimes when you get a great rate for your round, the flipside is a crowded course and slow play but I had the course to myself nearly the whole way. In all aspects, this is an impressive course and well worth the drive. If you're in town to play a few rounds, make sure this one is on your list." —BEN

"Your professional, well-coordinated staff contributed immensely to our event. Your golf course was in great condition and well managed. The food service was excellent. Thank you again and we hope we can work on similar projects together in the future." —DAL

"We appreciated the help from the golf staff with all those little details that make an event a success." — ELAINE

"Yesterday we had nearly 80 Golfers turn out to play your beautiful course. I've been hyping the course for many who never played it before, and I can honestly say they weren't disappointed. Each month we play the best courses in Hampton Roads. Colonial Heritage deserves to be at the top of that list. Everyone commented on how the greens were the best seen in a long time. Thanks to you and your staff for hosting our association and for all the hard work you do. We hope yesterday's tourney is just one of many we play at Colonial Heritage in the upcoming years." — BOB

"Awesome golf course. We would have liked to play "the lakes" 9-hole, that will be next time. overall a very nice course and we will be back! Lots of shade around the fairways, which is good for the heat but can sometimes cause you to look sight of your balls when watching the descend. Food was excellent as well, staff very inviting as well. Greens were in grade shape and the course's difficulty; I would rank easy yet relaxing. Easy to get tee times. I recommend this golf course.....Thanks for a great experience." — BRYAN

"One of the best courses we've ever played. It's challenging and in great condition. I like a course that makes you think to navigate it. Greens were 12.5 on the stint meter. Yeah!!The food after our round was excellent. We're playing it again because we can't get enough of a real good thing." — CARL
